My full name is Amando Ariel Chapa. I am the graphic artist/designer behind Averthread. I hail from San Antonio, Texas - you remember the Alamo, right?

Well ever since 2017, I’ve been a part of the city’s best t-shirt screenprinting shop, where I now proudly lead the art department - and tbh, I love every minute of it. What once began as a small solo project known as Tasmagoria in late 2019 has now grown into a partnership. In late 2023, Inspired by this creative environment, I decided to harness my available resources + my passion for art and turn that into what is now Averthread.
 

I’m not originally from San Antonio; I grew up further down south in Laredo. I'm one of two brothers raised by my father (an incredible painter), and my mother (my biggest fan). Both have always showered me with love and support in all my creative pursuits.
